I would like to track leads and I'm wondering about the pros and cons of using custom fields vs. tags.

I could create a tag for "XYZ networking event", "ABC Convention" and use them for the leads from each event.

-Or-

I could create a text custom field called "Met lead at this event:" and then fill in the information there.

What are the pros and cons of either technique?  Would I be able to find a list of leads from a certain event with either technique?

...Just trying to wrap my head around the BB system.

This is so obvious that I assumed this was possible without even asking. The first thing I did was create a supertag called "Development" with two drop down menus, one called "Project" and the other "Project Category." The options for Project were my various project titles and the options for Project Category were things like "Web Development" and "Marketing Development" and so on.

I then created a To-Do called "Test new web banner on new site template" and gave it a date. Everything cool so far. Then I added the tag "Development" to my new To-Do and...   uh what?  Seriously?  I can't edit the appropriate custom fields I created for the Development supertag on my To-Do. This is really nuts, I mean why wouldn't we want to organize and categorize our To-Dos and Communications right along with our Contacts? 

I love your product, but this simple feature addition would give us soooooo much more flexibility and customization.

Pretty please guys? I really need this.

Unless I am totally missing something but I'm pretty sure I read that you can't do this, with no explanation as to why anywhere.
