Sort by: name and other parameters

Hello,We're studying whether BatchBox could replace our Outlook DB, and I have a few questions:1) Is there a possibility to add "Sort by" parameter? So we could sort contacts by name, company name, last updated etc.2) You have alphabet list on top to select contacts starting from letter A, for example. Is there a way to use Cyrillic language here? All of our contacts are written on Russian, which makes us helpless in trying to sort contacts by name.Thank you.

Hi,Currently there is no means to sort in the main contacts screen, just to filter by the tags and other criteria in the dropdowns. While Batchbook does support international character sets I do believe the alpha filters use the english character.Greater sorting and filtering on the contacts screen is being built in to the new Batchbook version currently in development including sorting by first, last and company. The live search currently requires three characters to initiate as it reduces the dataset to a level that it will work quickly enough. So Jo wouldn't work but Joh, Jor, and Joe would work for you.Hope that helps,Scott

I really, really, really need sort by first name urgently, please and thank you (PS, I just signed up tonight, and your Google one-way sync was the deciding factor -- then was disappointed I couldn't sort the way I do!).

I agree this is very frustrating. The biggest problem I have is in any other database you would be able to see what contacts were most recently imported but not in this. I understand a list can be made but the list automatically sorts based on last name. So if there are more than 50 contacts all other sorting is worthless.

Hi ChristophDollis and Darkhorse,These are both great suggesstions, and things that we're going to be considering with the re-write we are currently doing with Batchbook. I've seen the ability to sort by first name in the re-write, and I'm not sure about being able to sort by a record creation date.Things still are under development, and it is possible for functionality to be added or removed - but my gut tells me that we will have the sort by first name or last name ability built in.Bill PasnauCustomer Experience Team
