Activity Feed for Contacts on Contacts page
  • rianlimrianlim December 2011
It would be nice to have an option to see the activity history for contacts on contact pages itself instead of having to search through the activity feed on the dashboard or in the rss reader. We'd like to be able to see who edited or updated the data for the contacts (and who created it) for control purposes. This way we could call the attention of someone if, God forbid, they erased info on the record or grabbed someone else's accounts without anyone else's knowledge.

    Hi Rianlim,

What you're describing is some of the added functionality that we have in store for Batchbook 2.  You'll be able to see on every contact record, who last modified the contact, and who created it.  That will help with finding out who did what to a contact when - so that your company can respond accordingly.

Looking forward to Batchbook 2. I assume this also means you'll be adding a "Created By" field?

Yes!  I've been told that since things are still in development, the functionality that I've seen so far could still be taken out, just as new features may be introduced (aka I haven't seen the final product yet) - but - at the same time I don't think the Created By or Last Modified By fields are going to get the axe.
