Exporting Data from Goldmine CRM & Importing to Batchbook
-
I need to export our current large database from our former
CRM software known as Goldmine. It offers me three file types when exporting:
1) DBF file: dBase data Files
2) ASCII file: Text files with field delimiters, field
separators, and record separators3) SDF file: Text files with fixed length
fields. Each field is identified by its beginning position and lengthCan you tell me what my best option is?

Hi AListDFW,None of these options are really ideal, as you can only import a .csv file into Batchbook. So whichever option you go with you're going to need to convert the file to a .csv.I've seen some articles on the web: <https://www.topproduceronline.com/help/itp/Setup/Exporting_contacts_from_common_programs/Exporting_Goldmine_data_to_a_.CSV_file.htm>that will walk you through exporting from Goldmine to a .csv, although I'm not sure if this is for an older version of Goldmine. You can also check out this article on how to convert an ASCII file to .csv: http://www.computing.net/answers/office/can-i-convert-ascii-to-csv-files/3577.htmlI hope this helps some!Bill PasnauCustomer Experience Team - Batchbook
