Can I add a Social Media Account when search fails to find it?

I am wondering if Social Media is not working right now, as I have not had it come up with any social media tags on any of my recent contacts, some of which I am positive have LinkedIn and Twitter accounts because I am already connected to them there. What is up?

I got a followup email from support after sending them this question and they suggested un-linking all my social media accounts and then re-linking them. This seems to have fixed my problem.

Picking up on the thread below i have the same problem. when I typed 'social Media' into the tag box nothing happened! What is going on/am i doing wrong?
I have some client social media accounts that I know exist from my
previous database, but search is not finding them. How can I add them
manually?

You can add them manually by typing in 'social media' to the tag
box in the contact record. This will give you the social fields which
you can then populate with that info.
